HOW TO APPEAL A CITATION:

 

If you choose to appeal a citation you have 14 CALENDAR days from the date of issue on the citation to submit the designated appeal form. 

 

        1. Download and print the Citation Appeal Form – no other forms, letters or correspondence are accepted in lieu of the official appeal form.  

        2. Complete the Citation Appeal Form, including notarization.

        3. Submit the complete and notarized appeal form online though the Appeal Citation page, by mail or in person at our office.   

 

All appeal forms have an administrative review prior to sending to court.

 

Complete and notarized forms can be mailed or delivered in person to:

CITATIONS THAT CAN OFTEN BE RESOLVED ADMINISTRATIVELY:

 

39.14(1) PARKING WITH EXPIRED DECAL/ TAG

 

If you were cited for 39.14(1) for PARKING WITH EXPIRED DECAL/ TAG and your vehicle was properly registered at the time of the citation, the fine may be able to be reduced to $5 for Failure to Display with proof of valid registration.  

 

Please send a copy of your valid registration (must be valid on date citation was issued) and payment of $5.00 to the address listed on the citation.  Please include your contact information.   Please note the payment and documentation must be received in our office within 14 days of the citation being issued in order to avoid additional penalties.

39.41 METER VIOLATION – NO PERMIT DISPLAYED

 

If you were cited for 39.41 for METER VIOLATION – NO PERMIT DISPLAYED and you have a valid permit for the time the citation was issued, the citation may be able to be reduced to $5 for Failure to Display a valid parking permit with proof of a valid parking permit.

 

Please send a copy of the parking permit (must be valid on date and time citation was issued) and payment of $5.00 to the address listed on the citation.  Please include your contact information.   Please note the payment and documentation must be received in our office within 14 days of the citation being issued in order to avoid additional penalties.
